Staying home today. Spent all last night feeling like I was attempting to eject my lungs from my chest. Rib cage, chest muscles, and lungs so, so sore. Throat still on fire. Can't eat. Fever of 102.2. Cough headache hangover.

Cripes. Am going to attempt tea for the second time this morning and then crawl back to bed.

In other news, my kitty is eight years old today. In honor of Max, I will entertain him with my impression of coughing up hairballs. I'm getting pretty good at it.

Happy Birthday to Max. And here's hoping his mama feels better very soon.

Doctor has given me express orders that if I am not improved by Monday with all the drugs he's given me, I have to return to his office for more treatment and tests.

Trust me, sweetheart. I'm being aggressive. With C3 looming in less than three weeks, and ROTS looming in a little over a month and a half, I'm fighting this thing with every ounce of power I have. Hey, I even stayed home from work today. That's absolutely unheard of... for me, anyway.

I can do this, damn it. I WILL do this.

I hope you get better soon.

I hope they're giving you the big gun antibiotics, it sounds like that's what you need.

If your fever doesn't come down by tomorrow morning? Call the doctor. Hugs, and I'm hoping that you feel better FAST.

I will definitely call the doctor if the fever is still high tomorrow. I promise.
